Bluegrass Film Society
A multipurpose site: announcements of Kentucky cultural events; resources for my film students; and a place for me to collect info on film studies. I am also collecting resources here for my Science Fiction courses. The BFS is set up solely as a resource for my students in my film classes and is a part of those film classes. We also support the efforts of the Eastern Kentucky International Film Series

Oldboy is as thrilling as it is unconventional and in today's pop culture it is refreshing to watch the intricate and irregular plot unwind. Oldboy will not spoonfeed it's viewer and is not for those who find Jerry Springer intellectually challenging. Chan-Wook Park does an admirable job of disecting and reconstructing the film's timeline and plot to give the film it's dark and scattered feel. In my opinion this film is a must see!
